Richard Chen
Biography
Dr Liang (Richard) Chen joined the department as a Lecturer in February 2008. His previous appointment was at University of New South Wales's Asia campus. He completed his PhD in Accounting at Nanyang Technological University in 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree at Nanjing University in 2001.
Richard's current work focuses on empirical accounting research, with special interest in financial accounting and international accounting. He has lectured at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, across financial and management accounting subjects. Richard is also active in professional services. He is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Charted Financial Analysts Institute.
